Should you have to cut out gluten, even if you have no known reaction after eating wheat?
A recent study looked at the response to wheat across three groups of people: (1) celiac patients, (2) individuals with known gluten sensitivity, and (3) individuals with no known gluten sensitivity. They found that in all three groups, wheat opened up the tight junctions in the gut, causing gut permeability, which ultimately led to an inflammatory response in the body.
The truth is, it’s best for every person to cut out wheat, at least for a period of time. In this video, I explain why wheat should be eliminated, what alternatives to consider, and to what extent it could be re-introduced into your diet.
